Ind vs WI Hyd Test match : Umesh Yadav bagged a career best of 6 for 88 as India bowled out West Indies for 311 this morning on Day 2 of the second Test match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. (Ind vs WI 2nd Test Scorecard)

The West Indies managed to add only 16 runs to their overnight total of 295 for 7. The tourists lasted 6.4 overs on the second day morning but that was just enough for overnight batsman Roston Chase to bring up his fourth Test hundred, a second against India.

Roston Chase was eventually dismissed by Umesh Yadav, to give the fast bowler his second five-wicket haul. The 26-year-old all-rounder was cleaned up through the gate by an inducker after scoring a commanding 106 from 189 balls with eight fours and a six.

As per the latest Ind vs WI Hyd Test match update, India is off to a breezy start at 43 for no loss in just 5 overs with Prithvi Shaw racing away to 25 while Lokesh Rahul is on 4. West Indies suffered a big blow with wicket keeper Shane Dowrich forced to leave the field after getting hit on the knee while trying to collect a low ball from Shannon Gabriel.

Jahmar Hamilton, who is not part of the playing XI, has come out as the substitute wicket keeper for the West Indies.

The first day saw West Indies come up with a much improved bating show thanks to a seventh wicket stand of 104 between no.6 Roston Chase and skipper Jason Holder (52).

Although the pitch for the Ind vs WI Hyd Test match wasn’t too difficult for batting, the West Indian batsmen played some unnecessary big shots to get dismissed, starting from opener Kieran Powell who was caught at covers off R Ashwin. Kuldeep Yadav picked up three wickets with his mix of chinaman and googlies.

India had given Test debut to Mumbai medium pacer Shardul Thakur in the ongoing Ind vs WI Hyd Test match. However, the young bowler had a tragic start to his test career when he had to walk off the park during his second over because of a groin strain. Shardul Thakur did not return again in the course of play leaving India with just the one pacer in Umesh Yadav to go along with the three spinners.
